Long Distance
This competition will take place in a vast area of cork oak forest near the Lucefecit Dam, in the area of Terena and Hortinhas.
Rugged and hilly terrain, including some significant gradients. Good network of paths, ranging mostly from medium to good rideability, mostly in cork oak forest.
Given that sheep and cow graze in this area, there may be narrrow seasonal tracks on the terrain made by herds, which are not marked on the map due to their ephemerous and ever-changing nature.

Map to be used: Mapa “Hortinhas (Terena)”, FPO registration no. 033/2020, at a scale adapted to the various classes and courses. Contour interval: 5 metres.

Due to the highly legibility of the map and the distance required for a Long Distance course (both resulting from the type of terrain), as well as the constraints in terms of map size, the 1:15000 scale has been used for some classes that usually require a 1:10000 scale.
