BABY-SITTING, MEALS, BIKE WASHING AND SHOWERS
Baby-sitting
Baby-sitting will be in the Event Centre, both on Saturday and Sunday, and is subject to prior registration, but is free of charge.
Meals
On Saturday, light meals will be served at the Event Centre by Associação Alandroal United, with pre-determined menus, subject to reservation and advance payment, and sandwiches, drinks and deserts for retail sale. There is also a restaurant in Terena, Snack-Bar o Botas. It is recommended to reserve a table well in advance.
A dinner will be served in the hard floor by Grupo Desportivo and Recreativo do Rosário, subject to reservation and advance payment.
On Sunday, in Alandroal, there will be no meal service, but the Bar das Piscinas Municipais will be open for breakfasts and light meals from 7:00 onwards. Furthermore, all competitors are invited to attend the “Caldeta para Todos” (Fish Soup for All” offered by the Municipality of Alandroal in Rosário at 13:00. Additionally, there are various restaurants in Alandroal, with a varied offer for lunch.
Bike washing
On Saturday, it will be possible to wash the bikes near the Arrival. On Sunday, there will be no bike wash facilities.
Showers
On Saturday, showers are in the Terena Football Pitch, near the Arrival. Access only by light passenger vehicle, bike or foot. On Sunday, the showers are in the Event Centre, in Complexo Desportivo Miguel Figueiredo Lérias. Opening hours on Sunday: 8:00 to 12:00.
PRIZES
- Prizes of the I FESTIVAL PEIXE DO RIO MTBO TROPHY

Prizes for the first five competitors of Senior classes and the first three of the other competition and open classes, as well as for the first three clubs, and souvenirs for the competitors in the Beginners class.

Lots will be drawn for a stay in a twin bedroom in Hotel Solar dos Mascarenhas in Vila Viçosa.

REGULATORY INFORMATION

The courses will be subject to the FPO’s 2023 Competition Regulation. We highlight some key aspects below.

Each competitor must:
-
download his/her SIAC upon arrival, even if he/she has abandoned the course;
-
aid other competitors in the event of accident;
-
respect marked areas.

Grounds for disqualification:
-
riding off track;
-
riding, running or walking on or across or causing any damage to private, farmed, prohibited or excluded areas;
-
disrespecting general forest protection rules;
-
disrespecting any mandatory passage.

SIACs lent or rented to competitors must be returned to the organisation at the end of the course, after having been downloaded in the IT. In the event of loss, €66 will be charged.

Competitors are covered by the mandatory sports (personal accidents) insurance under the FPO (federated and non-federated competitors) insurance policy, which may be consulted on its website.

The competitors third-party liability is not covered, either by the FPO’s or the organiser’s insurance policies.

The organiser’s third-party liability is covered by a third-party insurance policy, in the terms and conditions set forth therein.

Competitors registered with a federation other than the FPO or the FEDO, competitors registered with the FPO but with an irregular status and competitors not registered with any federation are not covered by sports insurance (federated competitors), which means that they must purchase separate insurance (sports insurance - non-federated athletes), at a cost of €2,00/course.
